Pre-cut in a convenient rectangular format, 3M™ VHB™ Tape 5952 heavy-duty double-sided acrylic foam mounting pads (85mm x 54mm / approx. 3.35" x 2.13") deliver permanent, structural-grade holding power without screws, rivets, or drilling. Constructed with a 1.1mm (45 mil) conformable closed-cell acrylic foam core and modified acrylic adhesive, these pads provide extreme shear strength and gap filling across metals, glass, painted surfaces, and diverse plastics (including ABS, polycarbonate, and acrylic).

Application Instructions

• Thoroughly clean both surfaces with a 50:50 isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and water mixture. Ensure surfaces are dry, dust-free, and oil-free.
• Peel the red liner, position the pad, and apply firm pressure (minimum 15 psi) using a roller or hand pressure.
• Remove the remaining liner, align the parts, and press together firmly for 30–60 seconds.
• Bond strength develops over time: ~50% after 20 minutes, ~75% after 1 hour, ~90% after 24 hours, and 100% full strength after 72 hours at room temperature.
• Ideal application temperature is between 20°C and 40°C (68°F to 104°F). Do not apply below 10°C (50°F).
